PRINTPATH/NLM for UNIX
Unix LPD/LPR Network Printing for NetWare Servers

Product Information

PRINTPATH/NLM for UNIX is an implementation of the UNIX based LPD (Line Printer Daemon) and LPR (Line Printer Requestor) printing protocols on the NetWare Server. Running as an NLM (NetWare Loadable Module) on the NetWare server, PRINTPATH/NLM receives print jobs from UNIX systems (or other systems supporting LPR) and writes them to queue files in NetWare print queues or to regular disk files in server directories. PRINTPATH/NLM exports designated server print queues to UNIX systems (or other systems supporting LPD), sending server print queue files to print files in a queue on the target system.

PRINTPATH/NLM for UNIX uses the built-in TCP/IP on the NetWare server and can has no limit on the number of queues it can service (up to the practical limit of server capacity). Formatting of carriage control is handled automatically and NetWare print job definitions are supported.

Compatible with NetWare 4.x and 5.x.

PRINTPATH/NLM is a simple and efficient way to move print jobs between NetWare and UNIX on TCP/IP networks. It is priced at $595 for the first server and $295 for right-to-copy. Annual maintenance is 10%.

There is no simpler way to share printers between UNIX and NetWare!
